Well Adem you had (have) a really good idea here about Dad. Just a tad upstaged by the great news from Dana and Rob but still a great idea. So what do I think of Dad in animal terms?
Hmm... I like to think of Dad as a mischievous badger...
OK just kidding I saw that movie Taledegah Nights again this week.
Dad as an animal... hmm this is a challenge. I want to say a big cat. But somehow that doesn't seem social or nurturing enough. How about a ferret? Naw just kidding again.
OK I'll settle for a cougar but it has to be a mommy cougar. Check him/her in action...

I think Dad would be one of those rare silver back gorilla's in the Congo.
1. He loved the outdoors.
2. He loved having a large family.
3. He was revered as wise & powerful.
4. He liked to use his mind and work with his hands.
5. He was always up for an adventure, so swinging thru the trees is something right up his alley.
6. He was extremely loyal to his clan.
7. He could have a loud roar and scary "charge" when challenged, but he was very gentle and kind too.
I wish I could paste Dana's comment into a post! Rob, I would never have thought about a big cat. That is the cool part of this excercise(?). Like the three blind men examining an elephant and having three different descriptions/
