Big check today from the settlement.
It's extremely bittersweet....
It'll pay for my Master's which is a huge weight off my chest- but I would give ANYTHING to just have had him here a little bit longer. Screw the $$, it'll never make up for the time we've lost. :(

yeah, they all make me sad but this one actually made me cry. I can not imagine my rage at the men who sat in a room many many years ago and decided how much our father's life was worth. You know, calculated how many people would die from exposure to asbestos and how much it could potentially cost them and then decided to stockpile and use as much as they could before the government finally stopped them. My check will go towards the kid's college funds but the older two still talk about him and would much rather have a ride on his knee or a good story telling or maybe a ride down the wild Buffalo River with dad in a canoe. doesn't get much sadder.
