I have not posted in a while but that doesn't mean I have not been thinking of things. Its finding the time to sit down and do it. I suppose there are a few more ounces of that midnight oil but I've got to sleep now and then. I've had some sad moments lately - not quite as intense as in months past but nonetheless deeply sad. I miss him and most of all I stumble upon things I wish were still opportunities. Certainly on reading Adem's post today I thought how nice it would have been to share coloring Easter Eggs with Grandpa. Frankly I cannot recall coloring Easter eggs with him myself so I'm sure I would have enjoyed it just as much as the grand kids. I'm also sure that Grandpa and Grandma Becky would manage the resurrection story more gracefully than my clumsy rendering. My family and I enjoyed coloring easter eggs today and had a good easter egg hunt with hard boiled eggs and some good chocolate goodies too. I hope you all had a great day.
In this season of rebirth it is comforting to know that Adem and Melissa and Dana and Robert are working on their little miracles. I'm sure some of Ray's grace and wisdom will march forward in their little feet, a gift from his children and their parents. Happy Easter to all. May the warmth of the lengthening days reach deep into your hearts and remind you of how Ray would try to make you feel every day.

Being that I was lucky enough to color many Easter eggs with Dad, I can tell you...it wasn't so much about coloring them, as it was peeling them. He took great care & pride in peeling them without so much as a nik on the egg. Sometimes he could almost do the whole egg in one long "ribbon" of shell. Then he'd put them in a bowl, sprinkle with a little salt, and Wah-lah!
Tres eloquent Robert... when you do find the moment to write you make the absolute most of it. I also struggle to get on here and add a comment or post. The difference is that when I do I end up just blurting out what I want to say and moving on to clean the kitchen or wipe a nose... We did have a very special Easter with Madison and Taylor here and I am enjoying ever so much the quickening of Spring around us,
Thank you!
