Well the first time I remember seeing dad was on the beach . I had somehow separated from the group and climbed a tree to find everyone . I was 3 or 4 and if you knew me it was the norm for me to go missing . I fell and the fall knocked the breath out of me and there he was he picked me up and dusted the sand off me and we went to a station wagon (dad was found of the station wagon I remember a few of them)and everything was right in my world . does anyone remember the first time they saw Ray?

:) My 1st memory of Dad was when they were building the house in Little Rock...I couldn't have been but 2 at the most.
I remember walking around outside by all the piping and heard 'Sherry Sherry sherry sheeeeerry' as Dad was talking to me from the far end of the yard through the pipes. I can still hear it...and see him smiling at me from the other side :)
Hi sis Adem went as Link to Arau Con and had a blast. Also hes joining many groups and heading up some volinteer work like his granpa.
It is funny Adem, but the first time I remember Uncle Ray was at a beach too. I dont know how old I was, but I am guessing, like Sherry, no more than two. Our family came to visit you in Connecticut (you do the math)but the only part of the trip I remember was the beach and the only thing I remember was walking along the surf and looking out and seeing you older kids playing together and I tried to walk to you. I was immediately swept under the water and I remember being underwater looking up at sky above me through the water. I know I wasn't scared (I was too young to know to be scared) and it felt like an eternity and then all I saw was this huge hand (Uncle Ray's)reaching down and pulling up above the water. He smiled at me and brought me to my mom. That is all I remember. Not only is that my first memory of Uncle Ray but it is also my earliest memory of life itself. I find it neat that I vividly remember his hand and how big it seemed to a two year old. Almost as if God, himself, reached down and pucked me from the ocean.
I'm going to have to think on this one a long while... Some of my earliest memories of Dad come from upstate New York.. you (Adem) were new on the scene then so I must have been 3-4. I remember Dad showing me a spider web on our back porch - showing me the web, and the spider and her tiny babies. I was all in awe. I also remember him showing me lady slipper orchids in our back yard there. He knew about the natural world and he rocked my world with all he knew.. I don't know if I can go farther back than that. I also remember him building a canoe in our garage there.. that was WAY cool.
